. host: democrats line from texas, good morning. caller: thank you for c-span. mr. lynn, every word you have uttered is what i want to say. i have one thing i would like to point out and maybe you can affect it on polls. do you think the country is going the wrong way? i am a liberal democrat, and my answer is yes. that is because we have lost all compassion and humanity, and i do blame it on the rise of the religious right. i would like to see that question changed. it is not the policies of the president for me, it is the lack of humanity and walking your own shoes. if the question were offered, maybe more people would think about it. right now if i say yes, people think i do not like the president, and that is not true at all. do you understand what i'm saying? please articulate it for me. guest: i think it is a very good idea because polling questions do not often get to the nuance of what they really mean, allowing people to make decisions about who is wrong, talking about the direction of the country, and making people, including the pollsters, have them assume what those answ
